Fund Accountant

Our Client, regulated by the FSC, require a Fund Accountant to be based from their Gibraltar offices.

They have extensive experience in supporting sophisticated hedge fund structures and investment vehicles. They focus on maintaining a close working relationship with their clients in order to provide them with services superior in quality, efficiency and responsiveness.

The company is looking for a Fund Accountant. This is not a fund management role it is purely fund administration. The person will be an organised, motivated and proactive individual with excellent time management, computer and customer service skills.

Job description:

Preparation of Net Asset Valuations (NAV’s) to include:
Prices for Portfolios (Shares options, bonds etc.)
Prepare accruals
Financial statements
Bank movements
Prepare Bank Statements
Understanding of Contract notes
Preparation of Contract notes and Share Holder statements
Year End financial statements
Collation of Share Holder Statements

The company is looking for an individual who possess the following skills:

Fund administration experience
Organised with excellent time management skills
Analytical and dynamic with an industrious attitude
High standard of written and spoken English
Excellent communicator at all levels
Supervisory skills
Viewpoint SAGE or TAS Books knowledge advantageous
Excel and Outlook
Team player
Capable of meeting tight deadlines
Familiar with Gibraltar and other offshore Statutory Returns

Hours are flexible between 8.30 – 9.30am start and 5.00 – 6.00pm finish Monday to Friday making up a 37.5 hour week. Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus 11 public holidays per annum. In-house training will be given on the bespoke software currently used, and after completing a successful probationary period, by external courses.

Qualifications:

ACCA/ACA or equivalent

Salary:

Circa £30,000 plus benefits depending on experience
