Vacancy Description

Our Client, a leading provider of independent trust and corporate management services for both private and corporate asset holding structures, require an Operations Manager. An excellent package is on offer depending on experience and performance.

Summary

The role is intended, for the right incumbent, to develop over the coming months into the lead role within the company.

Initial role: appreciate and understand the client base and the business (client accounting; reporting function, corporate function)

Future role: management responsibility for delivery of admin/reporting services to clients; assistance with advisory/structuring and planning services

General Management

Carry out a review of processes and procedures and put in place steps to help the team fulfill their roles and comply with all its legal and FSC requirements.
Manage the staff and ensure that all decision making is properly documented and policies and procedures are being followed
Build confidence within the team to enhance performance and efficiency
Take control of the incoming client instructions and ensure work is allocated and dealt with efficiently and appropriately.
Supervision of Compliance Officer and assistance in delegating or preparing any required documents.

Client Accounting

Comply with legislation of country of incorporation (mostly Gib, some UK, Cyprus, and BVI).
Liaise with London/Vienna as required.
Put in place procedures and checklists of this function and act as manager in this respect.
Try to develop this area of business by focusing on charge outs, pricing, time spent and developing new business (partly out of existing client base).

Company Accounting

Oversee company accountant in Gibraltar, try to develop this role into a broader remit over time.
Review company Business functions and corporate governance procedures to enhance the business reporting strategy.
Organise the business, appoint new staff (with approval of Group MD) as is necessary to prepare the business for steady and sustained growth.
With HR, put in place training and development plans to encourage staff development
define performance targets, milestones and regular performance reviews
Ensure the procedures are in place for efficient and accurate billing.
Increasingly becoming the link between Group MD and Gibraltar, working closely with London and Vienna to increase the overall efficiency of the operation.

Profile

Member of ICSA is desirable, and STEP would be an advantage
MBA or studying towards would be an advantage
Small company experience an advantage

Demonstrable experience of forming strong relationships with external clients/customers
Highly organised and with an eye for detail
Flexible ready to meet varied challenges and opportunities
Capable of understanding and enhancing complex structures
