Vacancy Description

Our Client, a leading Private Bank, require a Credit Officer for their offices in Gibraltar.

Objective of function

Maintain business oriented, efficient and effective Credit function
Good understanding and management of Bank‘s Credit risks
Ensure Bank complies with all internal and external credit regulations

Duties

Credit Risk
Evaluate and approve credit applications
Input limit and attach collateral to limit
Authorise loan drawdowns
Renew limits and collateral
Monitor credit risk
Monitor limits
Monitor income
Adherence to and maintenance of the Credit Manual and procedures

Support / Executions

Develop full system knowledge to enable fast and accurate inputting / handling of credit requests
Be engaged in the ongoing analysis of workflows and procedures

Business Development

Assist the Front Office with the sale of credit products

Compliance

Ensure compliance with all internal & regulatory requirements for due diligence & Know-Your-Client and monitor account activity to prevent Money Laundering

Various:

Conduct special projects as assigned by the Credit Manager in conjunction with the Head of Business Support
Assist with the monthly reporting
Assist with formalities – account opening
